July 5, 2012 - Bell Stage on the Plains of Abraham at 9 pm
Twenty francophone artists from Quebec, France, the United States and Africa will take to the stage to share their love of French on the opening night of the 45th annual Festival d’été de Québec. Comedians Stephane Rousseau and Claudia Tagbo will host the evening, which will feature Angélique Kidjo, Cali, Chimène Badi, Christophe Willem, Claude Dubois, Dany Brillant, Luck Mervil, brothers Hamdi and Nacash Benani, Gilbert Montagné, Reda Taliani, Grand Corps Malade, H'Sao, Isabelle Boulay, Lynda Lemay, Marie-Josée Lord, Marie-Mai and Zachary Richard.

Party rock on the Plains! The popular American duo LMFAO, formed in 2006, celebrates with a full troupe. More than a dozen musicians will be on hand to recreate the sound of this irreverent electro-pop band.

The five members of the eclectic band Misteur Valaire will get the audience dancing. Liquid (Bran Van 3000), Fanny Bloom (La Patère Rose) and Beni bbq will also perform in this concert.

French superstar Johnny Hallyday will play at the 45th edition of the Festival d’été de Québec. For this exclusive Canadian performance, Johnny Hallyday will think big: video projections, an 11-musician orchestra, and three backup singers for a two hour review of his greatest hits.

Sarah McLachlan will take a break from her North American symphonic tour to play one concert with her band at the Festival d’été de Québec. This Canadian singer will carry the crowd with ballads like Angel, Building a Mystery, Adia, Sweet Surrender and I Will Remember you.
