To quickly perform a search on Montrealinfo.com, simply enter at least one word in the search field located in the “Search in our site” area of our main page, then click on the blue button with an arrow. The word or expression will then be searched in all three modules of our site: the Database of information, the Event calendar, and the infoletter archives. If you want to look for an exact formulation or a precise sequence of words (for example: “Casino de Montréal”), simply put the expression between quotes. The search engine will return only the items that contain the expression between quotes exactly as entered.
The results that will be displayed for the search in the Database of information will show all businesses and organizations that contain all the words that were typed in either their name or their description. The list of events obtained in the search will present all the events in the Event calendar that contain all the words that were typed in either their name or description. And finally the search in the infoletter archives will reveal all articles that contain all the words. These three result lists (Database of information, Event calendar, and infoletter archives) are displayed one after the other in the result screen.
