The Grand Prix Party
At the Ritz-Carlton Montreal Grand Prix Party, the past converges with the future. The artistic director of this party, Mabel Palomino, explains that the concept was inspired by the historic grandeur of the Ritz-Carlton and a futuristic vision of luxury. “Guests will flow between rooms and halls entirely transformed to create fascinating worlds of light and bliss.” Visual designer Lüz Studio and event architect Maddy K. also helped design the event.
Regular tickets cost $650 (not including taxes and service) and include a Champagne bar until 9 p.m., open bar all night, food stations, entertainment and surprises.
Limited VIP tickets for $1000 (not including taxes and service) include access to a VIP area on the second floor with additional food, an open bar and VIP touches.
Location: The Ritz-Carlton Montreal, 1228 Sherbrooke Street West
Date and time: Friday, June 7, 7 p.m.
ABGE: Welcome to the Jungle
Once again this year, Old Montreal’s Auberge St-Gabriel hosts ABGE, a series of five Grand Prix du Canada-related events. This year’s theme is Welcome to the Jungle. Celebrities from the fields of entertainment, art, fashion, media, politics and business mingle with race drivers during four days of festivities, from June 6 to 9.
The long weekend begins Thursday with Jump Start, a red carpet happy hour event and kickoff to the Grand Prix (10 p.m.). On Friday, Paris’s l’Arc Nightclub partners with Auberge St-Gabriel for Paris, Mon Amour (10 p.m.). There will be two events on Saturday: an after-party brunch (3 p.m.) and Grand Prix Madness (10 p.m.). On Sunday, the weekend ends with a bang at the Closing Party (10 p.m.).
