Spa Break

October 13th, 2017

Autumn has settled in and the weather is gradually cooling. What better time for a short spa session or even an overnight stay in the countryside, either with treatments to prepare your skin for seasonal temperature changes, or just to relax? Here are some establishments to visit, both in Montreal and outside the city, for a calming and restorative experience.

MONTREAL

Spa Eastman
The Montreal location of Spa Eastman provides a unique healing environment. You can enjoy a full range of beauty and wellness treatments.  A team of highly skilled therapists offers massages, body care and facial treatments. When you're in a hurry, you can benefit from express care: high-performance mini-treatments in a flash. Spa Eastman in Montreal also offers an energy nap service to vanquish physical and mental fatigue in 30 minutes. Thermotherapy sessions, which alternate between hot and cold, are held in their two infrared saunas and Nordic shower. The Eastern Townships location of Eastman Spa also offers fitness and yoga classes, in addition to body, facial and massage treatments. Another notable difference is that their thermotherapy sessions are held partly outdoors, in an outdoor pool and spa. You can also extend your stay and book a night or two in one of 44 separate rooms in seven pavilions.

Spa Ovarium
Spa Ovarium specializes in flotation baths: six egg-shaped, sensory isolation tanks which hold water saturated with Epsom salt. A flotation-bath session eliminates fatigue, reduces stress and relaxes muscles to nurture a state of general well-being. This spa is also renowned for high-quality massages and for its NeuroSpa and Pulsar treatments. Ovarium has four NeuroSpa rooms, each furnished with a contoured, reclining armchair that produces intra-corporeal music, described as multi-frequency harmonic vibrations, synchronized with conventional music. There are also four rooms offering Pulsar therapy, in which a pair of googles and stereo headphones generate a luminous and sonorous atmosphere that is ideal for relaxation and meditation. Treatments for children and pregnant women are also offered at Ovarium Spa.
